About Maria
Maria is a self-taught artist who has been drawing and painting since a very young age.
Her artistry took a transformative turn in 2020, following her relocation to a quaint Irish village. Immersed in solitude, Maria found herself enveloped by the raw beauty of Ireland's natural landscapes. The serene walks along the canal, the rugged hikes beside the sea, and the captivating daily sunsets became her muse, feeding her soul and igniting her passion for painting. The dynamic dance of the waves, the shifting shapes of the clouds, and the subtle changes in light and color spurred her to capture their ephemeral beauty on canvas, encouraging her to paint with renewed vigor each day.
Maria's connection to nature is profound, she uses drawing and painting to represent its ever-changing moods, hues, and forms to reflect her evolving artistic identity. While the sea and the Irish coastline dominate her subjects, she also explores the skies, raindrops, mountains, and flowers in her work. As a big animal lover, Maria is also known for creating customized pet portraits of you four legged friends.
Specializing in oil, acrylics, and mixed media, Maria's artistic expression blends impressionism, realism, and abstraction. Her art is a testament to her unending quest for growth, technique refinement, and stylistic evolution.
Maria believes nature teaches us about the beauty of transformation and the grace of adaptability—lessons she embodies in her art.
"Observing nature, I've learned that change is constant and resistance is futile. My art celebrates the spectrum of emotions, from the joyous radiance of sunny seascapes to the introspective tranquility of rainy vistas. It is my hope that through my work, viewers find a deep, emotional resonance with the natural world."
